How to check if a shop has an item before you go
A short, practical guide to avoiding wasted trips to local shops.

The short answer: check the shop's stock first, look at when it was last checked, ask the shop to hold the item, and confirm the size and price. An app like Kreyaa does the first three in one place; a phone call does it for a single shop.
1. Look for a recent "last checked" time
Stock information goes stale quickly. A listing checked this morning is far more reliable than one checked last week. Kreyaa shows this as "Checked 2h ago" on every item.
2. Search the exact item, not just the shop
Searching the product name finds every nearby shop that has it, instead of you guessing one shop at a time. Use the size or colour in your search when it matters.
3. Ask the shop to hold it
A hold request asks the shop to keep the item aside for a few hours. It is a request, so wait for the shop to confirm before you rely on it. In Kreyaa you pick 1, 3 or 5 hours.
4. Confirm the size and the price
Sizes sell out first. Check that your size is listed, and look at the price shown against what you expected before you leave.
5. Check the shop's opening hours
A shop with the item is no use if it is closed. Shop hours are on each shop's page in Kreyaa.
6. Have a second option
Save one alternative shop or item so a "sorry, sold out" does not send you home empty-handed.
7. Tell the shop when you are on your way
If you asked for a hold, arriving inside the window you chose keeps the item yours. If plans change, cancel the hold so the shop can sell it.
